‘The Introvert Bears Filthy Witness’ by Michael Paul Michaud is the third instalment of the Introvert series. The book is out on the 9th January and I am a part of the blog tour released to crank up the excitement for this next chapter. I now need to stop and admit, this is my first foray into The Introvert and his life. I do have to say I enjoyed the book and it is fine to be read as a standalone…BUT, I now really need to dip back into the previous books as this one has piqued my interest to the max!
In this book The Introvert, who we never get told what he is called is now on his own and sees himself being selected as one of twelve jurors on a notorious murder trial, forcing him to have to deal with numerous situations…all of which he really doesn’t want to do! The only problem being, he has no choice. The story is told from his point of view, so we get to know him and we also get to know how he feels and interacts with the other jurors.
The beginning of the book starts with the Introvert talking to some police officers and then jumps back in time to his jury service. As the story develops we can have little chuckles about the Introvert and the way it goes with the jurors that he can’t escape! Then closer to the end of the book we discover what he was talking to the police about and wait to see if he gets away it all.
A book that is pretty different all in all, but I enjoyed it. Very well written and with plenty of dark humour to keep my chuckles going. Without the humour it would be a truly different read altogether.
Thank you to Book On The Bright Side Publicity and Michael Paul Michaud for the book so I could write this review today.
