Duncan Brockwell – The Hard Way

‘The Hard Way’ by Duncan Brockwell is a standalone crime thriller that is an action-packed, tense novel. I was that engrossed I managed to read it in a day! I must say I have been eagerly waiting for this book as Duncan writes excellent stories so I knew I was in for a treat when I began this.

Duncan Brockwell

It begins as it definitely means to go on; with a triple murder at a radio station. Radio Presenter Colin Fisher is one of the victims Metropolitan Police officers DI Amanda Hayes and DS Rachel Miller are on the investigation and before they know it the case is getting larger as more bodies keep turning up and it seems a possibility that everything could be linked. The mystery is; what could connect Radio Presenter Colin Fisher with a Turkish casino owner and the murder of two workers at a valve factory?

A fast, twisty and action packed book that fulfils every crime thriller fans need, in my opinion. The cast of characters are very varied, colourful and realistic, with their own flaws and personalities. I loved getting to know this new team. Hayes and Miller are a brilliant partnership, both being strong and interesting women.

Duncan Brockwell has again managed to write a book that has you glued to the spot so I, for one, am happy!

Thank you to ZooLoos Book Tours and Duncan Brockwell for the copy of the book to give my honest opinion and my place on the tour.
