A new book from Inkubator Books, The Secret Wife by Emily Shiner, is a psychological thriller that I was so happy to be invited on the tour for. I do love books that are published by Inkubator, and I have read a fair few.

A very tense and fast-paced thriller that had me hooked right away. A dad and daughters’ weekend turns into a nightmare that seems never-ending as the secrets, twists, and turns start to rise to the surface.
Laura, Michael’s daughter from his first marriage, but a child that Cara, Michael’s wife has cared for as her own, is kidnapped. I was so interested in discovering what had happened to Laura; I found myself immersed in the web of lies that had been woven. These characters were well drawn, but I found they weren’t very likeable, and this just builds on the suspense that is already present throughout the story.
A psychological thriller with an unpredictable and surprising ending that really adds to this great book for me. I was second-guessing everything from the moment Laura was taken. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a twisty surprising psychological thriller.
