Best Friends Forever by Cathryn Grant is a psychological thriller published by Inkubator Books. I have read every book Cathryn Grant has published and have enjoyed them all. This is exactly the same. I enjoyed it that much it was devoured in one go.
A character driven story which introduces us to Abbey and Raven. Two former college roommates who are reacquainted through social media. Raven sees Abbey has divorced through social media and they get back in touch. They decide to go on a trip together.
The story is told from multiple points of view and from dual timelines also. The past is told by Lily, a third roommate of Abbey and Raven. Her chapters are told through her diary, which shows us the tragic past that binds the roommates together. As they are on their trip they notice a stranger following them. Why are they being followed and who is it?
Cathryn Grant always brings characters that get under your skin. These two are deliciously secretive and are so unreliable I almost enjoyed the fact I couldn’t guess what their intentions would be at any one time. It made for a thriller that raised the suspense level as Lily’s journal brings the events of the past into the present, but what does it reveal? This was another book by Cathryn Grant that I thoroughly enjoyed. Ia certainly looking forward to her next book.
