A psychological thriller published by Inkubator Books is always a book I need to read. The fact that it’s written by an author I know nothing about just makes me more curious.
This is a story that is not a simple one, there are twists and twists again. The multiple layers just increased my curiosity and got me on the edge of my seat throughout. We meet a family with a few unlikable members. Victoria,is a mother who will do literally anything to keep her family safe.
They look like a perfect family from the outside but Victoria and her husband Kit are hiding a terrible secret and she lives in terror of it bring found out. All the family members are pulling in different directions and everyone is falling apart with the weight of trying to keep up appearances. Victoria makes a decision to go as far as she can to protect her family…and it may be a decision she will regret.
Lorna Dounaeva has given us a thriller full of revelations at every turn. A dark and intense story that held me there, eagerly flipping the pages to see what shock would be next. Such an intriguing read for me and I am happy to have discovered yet another new author.
A solid psychological thriller that sends the reader on a journey which has mystery and suspense pouring from the pages as you read.
